Page 47 was a commission by Etcetera magazine for their 100th issue, an issue devoted to contamination, viruses and hacking.
C+H was asked to contribute to the issue by proposing an action that would parasite the existing contents of the magazine. After some reflection, the trio decided to remove all the C's and H's from the magazine and to store them on a page on their web site: www.tsee-und-ache.ch
On the bottom of each page of the magazine, a running text (see below) in French explained the action and the location of all the missing letters. A predominantly Dutch language magazine with only a few texts translated into English, the text was a further way to 'contaminate' the magazine's existing structure.
With Page 47, C+H hijacked the readers of Etcetera, parasiting the magazine by redirecting its readers to a virtual extension of the magazine, their own website.
