The departure for this work was the curiousity and fascination for each others culture, history, beliefs, rituals and how they are intertwined in daily life. For Saori it was the cruelty of Christianity, for me the way tradition and high-tech culture seem to be living next to one another in Japan. The one not deminishing the other.
The result was an one-evening performance. A white rehearsal studio in ZAIM, Yokohama was transformed in a big, constantly changing, installation made up from walldrawings, sculptures, and live performance.
The materials were used as symbols :
