bureau annex | 2010
from experiment
Arising from an experiment in 2010, bureau annex is a practice concerned with artistic work in the wild city.
It unavoidably embraces participation, considering it a socialised process necessary for the production of art.
The core-interest is to propose and make artworks together with people that find each other through a loose structure, based on affinity. This affinity is not there from the outset but man-made by an artificial behaviour: 'hanging out' regularly next and with people and in places at first sight completely unacquainted, the artist becomes present in a reality which naturally wouldn't become familiar: an 'annex' of a reality out of natural touch.
more on the initial experiment >>>
to tradition
Connecting people and content back from where the previous work ended, bureau annex produces independent works irregularly and occasionally but continually.
at present
As part of OTÇOE - works for passers-by and drawing further on the potential of becoming an urban tradition, bureau annex is producing a next work:
back again, a serie's of small video-works, the first a creation for April 2013, commisssioned by Les Halles / Trouble Festival.
>>> bureau annex is part of OTÇOE - works for passers-by.
